Guide: during the Anti Japanese War, in order to consolidate the economic foundation of Shandong Anti Japanese base area, our party gradually established its own red financial institutions. As one of the three precursors of the people's Bank of China, Beihai bank slowly grew up in the war years at that time. Now, a hitherto complete site of the underground banknote printing plant of Beihai bank has been excavated in Xujia village, Huangcheng Town, Linzi District. Walking into Xujia village, Huangcheng Town, there was a shabby farmyard in an inconspicuous alley. Many villagers surrounded a hole in the courtyard and carried baskets of loess out of the hole. About 10 meters down from the entrance, two caverns appear. This is the note printing workshop of the underground note printing factory of Beihai bank. According to local villagers, there are many hidden exits in the underground banknote printing factory. With the passage of time, they have long disappeared in the long river of history. Xupeixue, Secretary of the Xujia village Party branch and director of the village committee of Huangcheng Town, told us that at that time, there were Zihe River beach, southeast corner and southwest corner at the entrance of the underground money printing factory. In recent years, there was a wellhead, which collapsed and was buried. Back in the 1940s, in Linzi District, the enemy and puppet strongholds were intertwined, the reactionary forces were very strong, and any disturbance on the ground would attract the search of the enemy and puppet forces. Although the external environment is full of difficulties; However, the staff of Beihai bank, with their indomitable spirit and flexible style, turned the money printing place from imagination to reality. Xulongzhang, an 87 year old villager of the auxiliary printing workshop at the former site of the underground banknote printing plant of Beihai bank, was a young man at that time. The story about the underground banknote printing plant is still fresh in his memory. It is 10 meters deep underground, almost 7 meters long, 4 meters wide and more than 3 meters high. The top is an arch. All 2 caverns are printed, one of which is of green brick cement structure. Although the layout of the underground banknote printing plant of Beihai bank is hidden, in the daily printing process, the staff of the bank still have to fight with the enemy and puppet soldiers on the ground. Xulongzhang said that in the past, it was an earth cave. There was an empty house in the yard. There was a coffin made in that house. However, some enterprises put it in the house to raise the oxygen index. Sometimes, when things got worse, they covered the hole. Later, because the traitor betrayed him, he had to move to another place. It is understood that the underground banknote printing factory at that time had about 10 staff members. The banknotes printed were called Yishou Linguang circulating coins, with face values of 10 cents, 50 cents and 1 yuan. After the official issuance, due to its stable currency value and credit characteristics, the circulation area expanded continuously. In the Qinghe area at that time, Guangrao and Shouguang were in the East, Zouping and Changshan were in the west, Yidu and Linzi were in the south, and boxing and liouyangming were in the north. It was called our ticket by the masses. From july1940, the bank began to prepare for construction to april1941, when it was ordered to transfer due to the report of enemy agents, Beihai bank and Linzi District met for less than 300 days. However, the indomitable and indomitable spirit of Beihai bank in the difficult situation has shone on the land of Linzi for 74 years. Now, walking to the former site of Beihai bank, the dilapidated old house seems to tell the vicissitudes of the revolution; The vast expanse of loess deposits the hard work and tenacity of Linzi people who have loved the party and the army for more than 70 years.
